Job Summary

The Project Support Officer will provide essential support to the Project Manager in project administration and will support the team in delivering new technology and processes in the clinical environment.

This role requires effective communication, organisational, and time management skills to ensure project files are up to date and auditable, and project communications are carried out in accordance with project communication plans.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Project Administration
  • Ensure project files are up to date and auditable.
  • Monitor the risk and issue logs and ensure they are up to date.
  • Ensure project communications are carried out in accordance with project communication plans.
Change Management
  • Carry out system testing in accordance with scripts provided by the Responsible Manager.
  • Monitor working practices and implementation success as directed by the Project Lead.
Training and Support
  • Provide administrative support to the Lead carrying out Training.
  • Support clinical and administrative staff affected by change and provide training on new IT systems.
  • Liaise with Trust and external trainers to ensure training resources are available as and when required.
Person Specification
  • MS Office products Word, Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Organisational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Diary management experience.
  • Staff training experience.
  • An understanding of Trust/NHS policy and procedure.
  • Experience of working in a structured project environment.
  • Can demonstrate an understanding of change management activities or experience of working on a change project.
  • Ability to recognise project risks or issues and the implication for the project.
  • Experience of training needs analysis.
