About the Role

We are looking for a Psychological Care Services Manager to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist in psychological care, you will be responsible for managing a team of psychologists and ensuring that psychological care is delivered to the highest standards.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of psychologists, providing leadership and guidance to ensure that psychological care is delivered to the highest standards. You will also work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that psychological care is integrated into the wider care plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that psychological care is delivered consistently and effectively
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of psychological care provided to patients
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, as well as HCPC registration. A minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience and accreditation in at least one specific NICE-recommended psychological therapy would be highly desirable. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate good understanding of the psychology of physical health, particularly specialist blood disorders, and skills in complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management.
