About the Role

A challenging and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated individual to join our small, friendly, professional, and supportive Anticoagulation Team at Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Administrative Assistant to provide clerical support for our Anticoagulation Service. The successful candidate will work within a team as well as under their own initiative following training and competency assessment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as patients' first point of contact to the Anticoagulation service, providing general administrative support via all media available.
  • Perform routine administration duties, including data input, non-attendance follow-up, clinic list preparation, incoming and outgoing telephone calls, monthly reports, and stock control.
  • Administration liaison with other departments within the hospital, including endoscopy, urology, pre-op assessment, cardiology, pharmacy, and point-of-care team.
  • Participate in the audit program to ensure a safe and effective service is provided.
  • Participate in training and subsequent competency for mandatory training and the anticoagulation service.
  • Demonstrate a desire and willingness to participate and offer suggestions regarding service development as part of a valued member of the team.
  • Work flexibly as required to ensure that the anticoagulant service is provided to all our patients and users.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide administrative support to outreach clinics as required.
