About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerical Support Specialist to join our Anticoagulation Service team at Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide administrative support to our clinical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our anticoagulation service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to our clinical staff, including data entry, report preparation, and communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Assist with the coordination of anticoagulation clinics, including patient scheduling, reminders, and follow-up appointments.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information, treatment plans, and clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and service delivery.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in a clerical or administrative role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
