About the Role
Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is seeking a skilled epidemiologist to join our team. As an epidemiologist with MSF, you will play a critical role in identifying and responding to disease outbreaks, working closely with our project teams to analyze data and inform decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting surveys and data analysis to inform outbreak response efforts
- Designing and implementing surveillance systems to monitor disease trends
- Collaborating with medical teams to analyze and interpret data, informing evidence-based decision-making
- Providing training and capacity-building support to local health teams
Requirements
- Master's degree in Epidemiology or a related field
- Proven experience in disease surveillance and outbreak response
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Fluency in English
Assets
- Medical or biomedical background
- Familiarity with tropical diseases and infectious diseases
- Previous experience working in a similar role with a non-governmental organization
Language
We are looking for candidates with good French or Arabic skills. If you are fluent in one of these languages, you will be at an advantage in this role.
