About the Role

MSF UK is seeking an experienced Epidemiologist to join our team. As an Epidemiologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project teams in identifying, preventing, and responding to disease outbreaks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting surveys in the community to gather data on disease prevalence and trends
  • Designing and implementing surveillance systems to monitor disease outbreaks
  • Collaborating with medical teams to analyze and interpret data to inform evidence-based decision making
  • Developing and implementing strategies to prevent and control disease outbreaks

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Epidemiology or a related field
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing epidemiological research studies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Fluency in English

Assets

  • Experience working in a low- and/or middle-income country
  • Knowledge of tropical diseases and infectious diseases
  • Previous experience in a similar role with another non-governmental organization

Language

We are looking for an Epidemiologist with good French or Arabic skills.
