About the Role
Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is seeking a skilled Epidemiologist to join our team. As an Epidemiologist, you will play a critical role in our project teams, working to understand and prevent the spread of diseases.
Responsibilities
- Conducting surveys in the community to gather data on disease patterns and trends
- Creating reports to inform project planning and decision-making
- Helping to develop and implement strategies to prevent and respond to outbreaks of disease
- Setting up and maintaining surveillance systems to monitor disease activity
- Building the capacity of medical teams to analyze and interpret data to inform evidence-based decision-making
Requirements
- Master's degree in Epidemiology or a related field
- Proven experience in designing and implementing epidemiological research studies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Fluency in English
Assets
- Medical or biomedical background
- Familiarity with tropical diseases and infectious diseases
- Previous experience working in a similar role with a non-governmental organization
Language
We are looking for candidates with good French or Arabic language skills. If you are fluent in one of these languages, you will be at an advantage in the application process.
