A leading retail company in the fashion sector is seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to join their management team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maximising business profitability of your store by optimising sales opportunities while working within planned costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Store Performance Monitoring: You will monitor store performance daily, weekly, and monthly, providing reports and updates to senior management to improve. This will involve reviewing performance data and making suggestions to increase sales.
  2. KPIs and Sales Enhancement: You will utilise key performance indicators (KPIs) to enhance store performance and sales. This will involve analysing sales data and making recommendations to improve sales floor layout and customer flow.
  3. Customer Awareness and Interaction: You will demonstrate good customer awareness and interaction at all times, setting the standard for your store. This will involve ensuring optimum stock levels are maintained, with deliveries being dealt with promptly, regular stock replenishment, and commercial product handling.
  4. Staff Management: You will engage in recruiting staff as authorised by senior management, ensuring recruitment remains within budget and to meet the commercial requirements of the store. You will also monitor staff performance, behaviour, and appearance on an ongoing basis.
  5. Store Operations: You will manage day-to-day operations of the store, including maintaining costs in line with budget, proactively planning to maximise available budget.
Requirements:
  1. Previous Experience: You will have previous experience as a retail supervisor/manager, preferably within the fashion sector but would also consider other disciplines such as hospitality, business, etc.
  2. Experience with Budgeting and Sales: You will have experience with managing budgets, increasing sales, and dealing with profitability.
  3. Flexible Working Hours: You will be flexible to work weekends and longer shifts when required.
  4. Contracted Hours: You will be happy to be contracted 39 hours per week, with shift flexibility.
  5. Recruitment and Staff Development: You will have previous experience with recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing staff.
