Job Summary

Lidl is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of store colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by Example: Set a high standard of performance and behavior for your team, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Store Operations: Independently manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Team Development: Lead and inspire your team to achieve their full potential, providing coaching, guidance, and support to help them grow and develop in their roles.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and minimizing stock discrepancies.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, standards, and guidelines, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all colleagues and customers.

Requirements

  • Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and developing a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, customers, and external partners.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Customer Focus: Strong customer focus, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.
