Insurance Underwriter

We are seeking an experienced Underwriter to join our team at Ecclesiastical Insurance Group. As an Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in developing, negotiating, and profitably underwriting new and existing business within your authority and in line with our strategy.
You will be responsible for planning, prioritizing, and managing your work to deliver agreed objectives and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to deliver exceptional customer service. You will also use the appropriate method of communication to support our right-first-time approach in order to maintain successful internal and external relationships.
Key responsibilities include developing and negotiating new business, managing individual work to deliver agreed objectives, and providing training and referral support to underwriting assistants and customer admin support colleagues. You will also act on individual audit results and agreed action plans within agreed deadlines to improve your performance.
We are looking for a qualified Cert CII or commitment to achieve within an agreed timescale, a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
