Johnson Controls is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Building Technologies & Solutions business, you will be responsible for the daily operations of our successful IREF service business. Your role will involve coaching and mentoring IREF technicians who handle service work for our customers in local areas. The ideal candidate will have entrepreneurial drive, a consistent track record of success running the operation of an IREF service business, managing technicians, and P&L management in an Industrial Refrigeration environment. You will lead a team of skilled technicians to deliver exceptional service, leveraging your technical expertise, leadership skills, and customer-centric approach. Key responsibilities include managing key accounts, dealing with ambiguity, and leading multiple priorities simultaneously. You will also be responsible for mapping customer networks, understanding full organisations, and defining tailored account plans. This is a hybrid role split between office work and customer visits, as per business requirements. The successful candidate will have a technical background and knowledge of Industrial Refrigeration Systems in both industrial and commercial environments. They will also have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is also required.
