HR Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative HR Assistant to join our team in central Brighton. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a temporary contract of 2-3 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to employee queries, assisting with recruitment efforts, coordinating onboarding processes, and ensuring adherence to HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to employee inquiries via email and provide timely support as the primary point of contact.
- Collaborate with management to create job postings and arrange interviews for open positions.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new staff members, ensuring a seamless transition into the company.
- Complete Right to Work Checks and maintain accurate records within the HR system.
- Book meetings, create agendas, and take minutes to ensure efficient communication among team members.
- Provide support to management on staff-related matters, including disagreements, complaints, and grievances.
- Maintain and update HR/Payroll policies and procedures as needed.
Requirements:
- Prior HR experience, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Immediate availability or one-week's notice expected.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this position is between £28,000-£30,000 per year (dependent on experience). We offer hybrid working arrangements, with three days spent in the office and two days working from home. Our office is conveniently located near public transportation routes.
