About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Director to join our team at AECOM. As an Associate Director, you will lead and manage multidisciplinary environmental inputs to large-scale development projects, helping our clients gain development consent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead: Manage and coordinate environmental inputs across a wide range of projects, including energy generation, energy distribution, transportation, and regeneration projects.
  • Collaborate: Work with technical experts to identify environmental constraints, avoid impacts, and develop solutions in accordance with the mitigation hierarchy.
  • Champion: Promote AECOM's environmental services to internal and external audiences.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing EIA projects, environmental assessment methods, and applicable planning legislation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical reviewing with an eye for detail.
  • Project management skills, including staff resource and budget management.
  • A degree in a relevant environmental discipline (preferably a Master's degree) and an appropriate professional membership.
  • Willingness to travel to client offices.
  • Interest in line management duties and staff mentoring.
