Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced support worker to provide one-to-one enabling support for a teenage boy with complex needs. The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the young man in his own home and in the local community, accessing age-appropriate activities.

The young man has a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, OCD, and dyspraxia. He is a happy and pleasant individual with sound verbal communication skills and can manage his own personal care.

We are looking for someone who is willing to access quieter activities in the community, such as SEN soft play sessions, and support the child's interests in transport, including buses and trains.

This part-time position requires 4 hours per week during term time, with more flexibility required during school holidays. A car driver is essential and must be insured for business use, with mileage paid in agreement with the employer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To provide one-to-one enabling support for the young man in his own home and in the local community.
  • To support the young man in accessing age-appropriate activities.
  • To work collaboratively with the young man to develop and implement his individualised support plan.
