Support Worker for Young Person with Complex Needs

We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to provide one-to-one enabling support for a teenage boy with complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and dyspraxia.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with disabilities and possess a genuine interest in supporting young people with complex needs. They will be able to respond patiently, positively, and sensitively to any changes in behaviour, exhibit high initiative, and demonstrate punctuality and reliability.
This role requires a car driver who is insured for business use, with mileage paid in agreement with the employer. A full enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate will be required, which will be met by the employer.
Job Responsibilities- Providing 1:1 enabling support for the young person within their own home and in the local community.
- Accessing age-appropriate activities that cater to the child's interests, such as SEN soft play sessions.
- Ensuring the child's safety and well-being at all times.
- Experience working with children with disabilities.
- A genuine interest in working with young people with complex needs.
- Ability to respond patiently, positively, and sensitively to any changes in behaviour.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Flexibility.
- A happy, positive, and caring nature.
- Respect for confidentiality.
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.09 per hour.
- Mileage paid in agreement with the employer.
