**Job Description**

As an Associate Director of Financial Aid, you will be responsible for providing financial aid counseling, processing, and support services to students incarcerated in Nebraska correctional facilities who are enrolled in our Correctional Education Program (UPWARD).

You will interpret, process, administer, and enforce institutional, state, and federal student aid policies and regulations. Key responsibilities include providing financial aid counseling to incarcerated students, managing the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, monitoring financial aid awards for compliance, and generating all financial aid correspondence to students.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you must have:

">

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field

">

Two years of professional experience in financial aid, fiscal services, or related areas of student services

">

Ability to obtain volunteer clearance with the Nebraska Department of Corrections (NDCS)

">

Possess and maintain a current, valid Driver's License

">

Ability to qualify for auto insurance coverage

">

Strong knowledge of federal and institutional programs that provide financial assistance to incarcerated students

">

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

">

Ability to work effectively under stressful situations and maintain a cordial, positive, and professional demeanor
