Job Description:

The Gi Group is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Practitioner to join our team. As an Occupational Health Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in promoting and supporting the health and wellbeing of our employees.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct occupational health surveillance and health screening to identify and mitigate potential health risks.
  • Provide health promotion advice and guidance to employees to maintain a healthy and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Work with the Health and Safety team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external healthcare providers and support services.
  • Lead and participate in health and wellbeing initiatives, including mental health first aid training.
  • Conduct health risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and implement health and wellbeing policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on health and wellbeing metrics and trends.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an occupational health role, preferably in an education or training setting.
  • Recognized occupational health qualification, such as a diploma or degree in occupational health.
  • Registered nursing qualification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of current occupational health best practices and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
