Job Title: Occupational Health Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health Specialist to join our team at Gi Group. As an Occupational Health Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting and supporting the health and wellbeing of our employees.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct occupational health surveillance and health screening to identify and mitigate potential health risks.
  • Provide health promotion advice and guidance to employees to maintain a healthy and productive workforce.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement health and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Lead health and wellbeing projects to improve employee engagement and reduce absenteeism.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external health and wellbeing providers to access specialist services.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to management to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop and implement health and wellbeing policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health and wellbeing initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in an occupational health role, preferably in an education setting.
  • Recognized occupational health qualification.
  • Registered nursing qualification.
  • Knowledge of current occupational health best practice.
  • Ability to work in an organized and methodical manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
