Job Description:
The Gi Group is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Practitioner to join our team. As an Occupational Health Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in promoting and supporting the health and wellbeing of our employees.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct occupational health surveillance and health screening to ensure employees are fit for work.
- Provide health promotion advice and guidance to maintain a healthy and productive workforce.
- Work with the HR team to support employees returning to work after a period of absence.
- Organize and conduct health surveillance assessments in conjunction with health and safety requirements.
- Identify health trends within the organization and develop initiatives to prevent ill health and absence.
- Lead and participate in groups that promote health and wellbeing, including mental health first aiders.
- Work with the health and safety team to improve first aid provision and increase the skills and confidence of first aiders.
- Organize and promote health initiatives, such as flu vaccination drives and immunization services.
- Refer employees to external support agencies and services as needed.
- Develop and lead health promotion and education initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience in an occupational health position outside of a hospital environment.
- Experience in a medical role.
- Recognized occupational health qualification.
- Registered nursing qualification.
- Knowledge of current occupational health best practice.
- Ability to demonstrate flexibility and team working.
- Ability to work in an organized and methodical manner.
