About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our Autism Team at the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialist assessment and treatment services for children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Neurodevelopmental difficulties.

Main Responsibilities

As a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking Autism assessments for children and young people referred to the Community Paediatric team and the preschool ASD Pathway multiagency assessment service at the Countess of Chester Hospital.
  • Providing evidence-based treatments and interventions to support children and young people with ASD and Neurodevelopmental difficulties.
  • Working collaboratively with the Autism Team, other healthcare professionals, and partner agencies to deliver a comprehensive and integrated service.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the Autism Team's service strategy and quality improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Professional qualifications and registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
