Pension and Payroll Specialist

As part of our finance team, we are seeking an experienced Pension and Payroll Specialist to handle the preparation and execution of bi-monthly payrolls for approximately 600 staff members.

The Primary Duties:
  • Preparation and running of bi-monthly payrolls, encompassing statutory payments, pay increases, and attachments of earnings.
  • Maintenance of the pension scheme, ensuring compliance with HMRC and pensions policy standards.
  • Management of employee absence data, supporting system accuracy and driving enhancements.
  • Liaising with the HR team to ensure payroll is updated in accordance with contract amendments and starters/leavers.
  • Supporting the Manager with payroll year-end activities, P60s, and other related tasks.
  • Resolving payroll and pensions queries from staff.
  • Assisting in preparing payroll reports to support accurate annual budgeting.
The Offer:

  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexible start and finish times.
  • Tiverton office (3 days per week) / home-based (2 days per week).
The Requirements:
  • We are looking for a pension and payroll professional with current experience of end-to-end payrolls.
  • A natural problem-solver with excellent attention to detail and experience working with payroll software.

Estimated Salary: £37,625 - £47,875 per annum, dependent on experience.
