As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef, leading and engaging the kitchen team to deliver exceptional results. You will be responsible for leading shifts, ensuring the kitchen runs effectively and safely, and upholding the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

What You'll Bring:

  • You are a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef, or perhaps a Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager looking to take the next step in your career.
  • You will have experience of working with fresh ingredients and be able to demonstrate good chef/kitchen skills, including food prep, hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, and good hygiene practices.
  • Your work ethic is about rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in, leading from the front, and playing an active role in delivering excellent kitchen and food standards as part of a high-performing team.
  • You are extremely driven and relentless in your pursuit of excellence, with a strong focus on deconstructing the 'can't mentality'.
  • You are familiar with KPIs and making decisions in the absence of the Head Chef, considering labour, stock, food safety requirements, and other key factors.
  • You have epic communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and build rapport and trust with our Ops Chefs and Ops Managers.
  • You have a strong knowledge of best practice around rota scheduling, sales and labour forecasts, reporting, recruitment, HR, and other key areas.
  • You have demonstrated successful delivery of training and recruitment for kitchen teams, including Apprentices, KPs, Chefs, Junior Sous Chefs, and Sous Chefs.
