As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef, leading and engaging the kitchen staff to deliver exceptional results. You will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in maintaining a smooth and efficient kitchen environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • You are a highly motivated and experienced Sous Chef, or perhaps a Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager looking to take the next step in your career.
  • You will have experience working with fresh ingredients and be able to demonstrate good chef/kitchen skills, including food preparation, hot and cold, cleaning, knife skills, and good hygiene practices.
  • Your work ethic is about rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in, leading from the front, and playing an active role in delivering excellent kitchen and food standards as part of a high-performing team.
  • You are extremely driven and relentless in deconstructing the can't mentality.
  • You are familiar with KPIs and making decisions in the absence of the Head Chef, considering labor, stock, food safety requirements, and other essential factors.
  • You have epic communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and build rapport and trust with our Ops Chefs and Ops Managers.
  • You have a strong knowledge of best practice around rota scheduling, sales, and labor forecasts, reporting, recruitment, HR, and other essential areas.
  • You have demonstrated successful delivery of training and recruitment for kitchen teams, including Apprentices, KPs, Chefs, Junior Sous Chefs, and Sous Chefs.
