Job Title: Music Educator

Protocol Education is seeking a skilled Music Educator to join our team in Yorkshire and the Humber, North Yorkshire, Middlesbrough.

Job Type:

This is a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.

Job Duties:
  • Develop and implement engaging music curricula that cater to diverse learning styles and promote creativity and understanding of music.
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress in music education, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Organise and oversee music-related extracurricular activities, including concerts, competitions, and workshops.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and promote a positive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).
  • Valid DBS check.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.

Experience:
  • Proven experience teaching music to students, with a track record of successful student outcomes.
  • Experience in curriculum development and assessment, with a focus on promoting diversity and inclusion.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Comprehensive understanding of music theory, history, and performance techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate students.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Music Education or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and promoting inclusive learning environments.
Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school environment, interacting with students, parents, and colleagues. It may require some evening or weekend commitments for school events or performances.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
