Music Teacher Position

Protocol Education is seeking a qualified Music Teacher to join our team in Middlesbrough, County Durham, North East England.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging music lessons to secondary school students
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum aligned with national standards
  • Evaluate and assess students' musical abilities through regular assessments and feedback
  • Organise and participate in school music events and performances, fostering a sense of community and school spirit
  • Provide individualised support and feedback to enhance students' musical skills and confidence
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Bachelor's degree in Music or a related field
  • Experience teaching music at the secondary school level, with a proven track record of success
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate qualification in Music Education or a related field
  • Experience leading music ensembles or choirs, with a strong understanding of music theory and practical skills
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position with temporary contract, with opportunities for professional development and training
  • Occasional evening work for school events, with a collaborative and supportive work environment
