**Digital Health and Care Wales is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as a Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Standards Lead.**

We are an NHS organisation which has a national digital and data remit for Wales. Digital innovation plays a crucial part in enabling front line services to deliver effective treatment and care for patients.

This role requires a consistent and high quality adoption of programme and project methodologies and reporting standards and management of lifecycles, dependencies, demand and capacity, finances and benefits.

The right candidate will have a strong understanding of PMO industry standards and best practices, have a PMO qualification and can develop and lead the adoption of standards across cross-functional teams using the latest digital tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement portfolio management standards and processes across the organisation.
  • Ensure that our portfolio management practices are aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to project managers and other stakeholders in the application of portfolio management standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of portfolio management practices and make recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

  • Programme (Such as MSP), Portfolio (such as Management of Portfolios) or PMO (such as P3O) qualifications.
  • Educated to masters level or equivalent plus knowledge in staff management, performance management and financial management.
  • Experience of developing deliverable projects across the full project life cycle, including scope and design, project plans including timescales and resources, and project benefit realisation.
