Job Summary

Public Health Wales is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Safety Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe design, development, and implementation of digital health systems. You will work closely with our digital services team to identify and mitigate safety risks, and ensure that our systems meet the highest standards of clinical safety.

Main Responsibilities

- Implement clinical risk management processes to ensure the safe design and development of digital health systems
- Evaluate and test digital systems to identify potential safety risks
- Collaborate with our digital services team to develop and implement safety mitigation strategies
- Provide clinical safety expertise to colleagues across Public Health Wales

Requirements

- Current professional registration with a regulatory body within Health or Social Care
- Postgraduate diploma level qualification or equivalent qualification or experience
- Patient Safety Investigation qualification RCA/SEIPS
- Evidence of continuing professional and/or personal self-development
- Degree or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study or employment
- NHS Digital Clinical Safety Accreditation
