Business Administration Apprentice Level 3

About the Role
As a Business Administration Apprentice at Barrett Steel Limited, you will be given the training and support to excel in your role. You will work closely with a strong and established site team, utilizing the latest blended learning techniques to ensure you receive the highest levels of training while working on core business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting and processing incoming materials, customer collections, and goods inwards
- Maintaining the IT system, ensuring it is up-to-date and running smoothly
- Managing stock locations, batches, and amendments to stock, as well as cutting notes
- Investigating stock losses and discrepancies
- Handling customer and supplier returns, as well as credit
- Monitoring stock accuracy scores and figures
- Scanning documentation, including PODs and stock notes
- Supporting the purchase of non-steel consumable items
- Dealing with customer orders and data files, and issuing orders to the factory for production
- Providing customer service and continuous improvement
- Assisting with administrative tasks
- Supporting the promotion and improvement of safety and awareness
- Processing documents and dispatching to machines
- Checking and loading NC data

Essential Skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and ideally Excel and PowerPoint at a basic level
- GCSE qualifications in English and Maths ideally at grade 5 or above
- Ability to work collaboratively and creatively
