Strategic Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Principal Planning Officer to join our client's team in Surrey. As a key member of the DM team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a major strategic development site, encompassing 1,800 homes, retail, and commercial floorspace.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating at this level, with a proven track record of managing large-scale strategic development sites. You will need to demonstrate expertise in dealing with Public Inquiries, negotiation on large-scale development, and the ability to shape a scheme to ensure quality development and supporting infrastructure are delivered.
We require someone with RTPI accreditation, high-level communication and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds. Conflict resolution skills are also essential.
The client offers flexible working arrangements, with a requirement for office presence on Wednesdays. A driving license and car insurance for business purposes are also necessary. The rate for this contract role is £59/hr (umbrella).
