Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily activities on the ward.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate concerns to the Ward Manager.
  • Support the nursing team and students.
  • Delegate tasks effectively.
  • Make safe discharge decisions in collaboration with consultants.
  • Deliver individualised nursing care and procedures to the highest standards.
  • Carry out additional duties as delegated by the Ward Manager or team leader for patient care and department efficiency.

Requirements:

  • NMC registration with no restrictions.
  • A minimum of 1 year senior nursing experience.
  • Desirable: ward experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Autonomous decision maker.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, internal rotation Monday to Sunday.

Competitive Salary: Approximately £45,000 - £60,000 depending on experience (UK average salary range).
