About The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Adult Autism Practitioner to join our team in the North West of England. The successful candidate will have extensive experience of direct support work with people with a learning disability/Autism, holding a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). They will be responsible for developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans, including Functional Behaviour Assessment, and providing practice leadership and workshops.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing Capable Environments including Active Support approaches
  • Developing and implementing Positive Behaviour Support Plans including Functional Behaviour Assessment
  • Providing practice leadership and workshops
  • Supporting colleagues with incidents and analysis
  • Delivering staff training and development

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience of direct support work with people with a learning disability/Autism
  • Holding a formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Qualification or willingness to work towards PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor

Skills and Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of Positive Behaviour Support principles and Applied Behaviour Analysis
  • Experience of conducting behavioural assessments and developing interventions
  • Reducing restrictive practices
  • Delivering Positive Behaviour Support training
  • Record keeping and report writing skills
  • Laws and policies relevant to the role

Salary: Approximately £35,000 per annum depending on experience.
