Materials Management Coordinator

About the Role
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Management Assistant to join our Blood Sciences department in Sutton. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting laboratory supplies, verifying and documenting deliveries, and managing stock and inventory. You will also be involved in streamlining and modernizing processes within the department, working closely with Biomedical Scientists and other staff to ensure efficient logistics and sample management.
Main Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect deliveries of laboratory supplies, ensuring accurate logging and storage.
- Verify and document deliveries, including checking quantities and lot numbers.
- Manage stock and inventory, including batch segregation and labeling.
- Assist with inter-site logistics, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of items between sites.
Requirements
- Good general education, including GCSE grade C or higher in English and Maths.
- Experience of MS Excel and MS Word, including creating and using spreadsheets.
- Effective team working and communication skills.
