Materials Management Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Management Assistant to join our team at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Blood Sciences department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory supplies and stock management system.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and inspect laboratory supplies, ensuring accurate logging and storage in our state-of-the-art WASP stock management system.
- Verify and document deliveries, including checking quantities and lot numbers, and participating in lot mortgage reservations with the Biochemistry Lead and Lab Manager.
- Separate deliveries into batches according to date of receipt to assist Biomedical Scientists in verifying Internal Quality Controls and reagent conditions.
- Label and store items in designated locations, adhering to Standard Operational Procedures.
- Manage inter-site logistics, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of items between sites, and coordinating with teams in Pathology Reception, Biochemistry, and Haematology.
- Good general education, including GCSE grade C or higher in English and Maths, and A level or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience with MS Excel and MS Word, including creating and using spreadsheets.
- Effective team working and communication skills.
