Job Title: SEN Support Specialist

About the Role:
A leading education recruitment agency, Academics Ltd, is seeking a dedicated SEN Support Specialist to join their team. This exceptional role involves providing one-to-one and group support to students with special educational needs in a supportive SEN school in Reading.

The ideal candidate will be compassionate, resilient, and positive, with a passion for supporting young minds and helping students overcome their unique challenges. Previous experience working with children, especially those with additional needs, would be an asset, though personal qualities are more important. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates interested in gaining experience in education or pursuing careers in psychology or mental health.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and group support to students with special educational needs
- Work collaboratively with the SENCO and teaching staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
- Assist students in achieving their learning objectives and help manage emotional and behavioral situations

Requirements:
- Resilient and compassionate nature
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to commit to a minimum of 6 months
