About the Role
The Field Care Supervisor will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care support services by carrying out a range of functions in the field. This includes assessing and reviewing individual services, supervising, instructing, and supporting care workers. The successful candidate will work closely with Care Coordinators to plan realistic and effective care worker rotas, taking into account the specific needs of individuals and the skills and attributes of care workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular reviews of individual services, including repeated and renewed needs and risk assessments.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary reviews of service users' needs.
- Shadow new care workers in the field to ensure their competence.
- Carry out on-site observations and evaluations of care worker practice as part of routine supervision, in response to performance concerns, or as directed.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in carrying out initial risk and needs assessments for individual service users, either in their homes or in other settings. They will also have the ability to work in partnership with service users, their families, carers, advocates, healthcare professionals, and others to ensure seamless delivery of holistic packages of care support.
