Complex Care Supervisor Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Complex Care Supervisor to join our team at Continuity of Care Services. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with complex needs, including those with tracheostomies, ventilators, gastrostomy tubes, and bowel management care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our Care Manager to set up care packages and introduce new staff to our clients
- Maintain familiarity with the complex needs of each client to ensure continuity and consistency as per their care plan
- Supervise, shadow, manage competency assessments, conduct observations, and mentor our care assistants
- Work with the care coordinator to maintain shift cover within the care package team
- Perform clinical duties of personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and light household duties
- Participate in the on-call rota, shared with the wider team
Requirements:
- Experience of supporting those with disabilities and complex health needs
- Attend mandatory fully funded training and achieve a QCF level 3 Health and Social Care qualification within the first year of employment
- Strong communication, excellent organisation, and problem-solving skills
