About the Role

  • We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to support our therapy team within orthopaedic and surgery services.
  • The successful candidate will provide high-quality therapy management to patients, working closely with occupational therapists and other allied health professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Provide delegated patient care tasks, including practicing daily living activities, supervising exercise, and carrying out pre-admission and discharge planning tasks.
  2. Undertake administrative and practical tasks independently, such as contacting patients pre-operatively, ordering equipment, and preparing resources for treatment sessions.
  3. Work flexibly based on the needs of the service, prioritizing workload and managing time effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • General Education to A level or equivalent and/or NVQ level 3 Promoting Independence/Care/AHP support worker or equivalent Health Apprenticeship qualification/Vocational training qualification.
  • Previous significant experience as a therapy assistant or equivalent in a healthcare setting.
  • Effective multi-disciplinary team working skills.
