Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and direction to the Florence Nightingale ward, including the elective orthopaedic surgery enhanced care area. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical governance and the ability to implement evidence-based practice to ensure patients receive safe and high-quality care.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include undertaking comprehensive nursing assessments, delivering high standards of nursing care, and promoting health and well-being among patients. The post holder will also be responsible for managing preceptorship, mentorship, and learning and development within the nursing team.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a relevant professional qualification, teaching/leadership qualification, and evidence of continuous professional development. A minimum of 2 years' experience at band 6 in an acute clinical setting is also required, along with the ability to demonstrate clinical and professional knowledge, leadership, and change management skills.
