Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Upper GI Specialist Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a clinical leadership role. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist nursing care for patients diagnosed with Upper GI conditions, including autonomously performing procedures in line with Trust protocols and NMC guidance.

You will work closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement local action plans, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Your expertise will also be valuable in contributing to the development of the corporate nursing strategy.

As part of our team, you will participate in meetings for Upper GI groups, enhance communication between primary and secondary care, and undertake clinical trials. You will also provide educational sessions to multi-disciplinary groups, sharing your knowledge and experience to promote best practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse practitioner to take on a clinical leadership role, working collaboratively with our dedicated team to deliver exceptional patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant post-registration experience in cancer/palliative care/gastroenterology.
  • Post-basic qualification in cancer/palliative care/gastroenterology.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Advanced Communication Skills training or prepared to work towards.
  • Non-medical prescribing.
