The Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service at Kings College Hospital continues to grow, with an energetic and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team seeking a Band 7 Practitioner Psychologist to join their Clinical Psychology team.

This role offers the opportunity to work alongside colleagues from various disciplines, including medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, dietetics, and social work, in a busy medical environment.

Salary:

£54,320 - £60,981 per annum, inclusive of HCA.

Job Description:

This is a specialist applied psychology service position within the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Service.

The successful candidate will contribute to delivering a high-quality service, focusing on identifying and treating psychological issues affecting patients' adherence to treatment plans and overall well-being.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing specialist psychological assessment, treatment, and monitoring of outcomes.
  • Offering clinical consultation and supervision to other team members.
  • Taking part in service evaluation, audit, research, teaching, and policy development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should hold a professional Doctorate in Applied Psychology or a similar qualification accepted by the HCPC for registration purposes.

Prior experience in specialist psychological assessment and treatment of complex patient needs, as well as working in multicultural frameworks, is essential.
