Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Pharmacy Leader to join our team at Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust. As a Principal Pharmacist, you will play a key role in leading our clinical pharmacy service, ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines, and improving patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Pharmacy Leader, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing and supervising pharmacists and Medicines Management Technicians to develop a competent and motivated clinical pharmacy workforce.
  • Providing leadership and guidance on good Medicines Management practices to ensure safe and secure handling of medicines.
  • Leading the Medicines Optimisation agenda to promote patient safety, treatment effectiveness, and better patient experience with treatment.
  • Working with leadership and commissioners to support wider Trust requirements in relation to medicines management and medicines optimisation.
  • Developing and implementing clinical pharmacy standards and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Leading the development, delivery, evaluation, and improvement of clinical pharmacy services across the Trust.
  • Providing professional expertise, advice, and training to health professionals, patients, and carers.

Recruitment Premium and Relocation Cost

This post attracts a recruitment premium of £3,000 (pro-rata for part-time roles) and up to £5,000 relocation cost, subject to terms and conditions.
