About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Pharmacist to lead our clinical pharmacy team and drive the safe and effective use of medicines across our Trust.

As a key member of our pharmacy leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing clinical pharmacy standards and quality improvement initiatives, as well as providing professional expertise and advice to health professionals, patients, and carers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of clinical pharmacy services across the Trust
  • Provide leadership and management of pharmacists and Medicines Management Technicians
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy standards and quality improvement initiatives
  • Work with leadership and commissioners to support wider Trust requirements in relation to medicines management and medicines optimisation
  • Provide professional expertise, advice, and training to health professionals, patients, and carers
