About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and responsible individual to join our pharmacy team as a pharmacy assistant based in the dispensary at Ipswich hospital.

As a pharmacy assistant, you will work with our dispensary team providing pharmacy services from the Ipswich dispensary and hatch area. Key duties will include dispensing medication, liaising with patients for home delivery, and following standard procedures.

On the job training will be given, and departmental competencies will be undertaken to ensure you have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform your role effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispensing medication, including controlled drugs, to inpatients and outpatients
  • Liaising with patients for home delivery of medication
  • Following standard procedures and guidelines
  • Providing a stock top-up service on designated wards/clinical areas
