Main Duties:

  • Act as the first point of contact and coordinate the school's response to Child Protection and safeguarding issues
  • Access support for children and families who are deemed to be vulnerable
  • Manage a caseload of our most vulnerable children and families, planning for better outcomes
  • Ensure individual healthcare plans are in place for students with medical issues

Olsen House is a special place that caters for some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people in society. Our pupils have Education Health and Care plans, which describe additional needs in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health. Many are on the autism spectrum, and a considerable proportion have several comorbid additional needs. We operate without sanctions, using reward to achieve a calm learning environment for all, modifying behaviour over the long term.
