Job Title: Senior Learning Support Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Learning Support Assistant to join our team at MidKent College. As a key member of our support services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that students with additional needs receive the support they require to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a designated group of Learning Support Assistants to support the Learning Support Coordinators in planning and timetabling class and one-to-one support for students with additional needs.
  • Work cohesively with other support partners to ensure EHCP and support arrangements are met.
  • Work effectively and confidently one-to-one or with small groups of young people to promote their social, emotional, and academic well-being.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and external agencies to ensure a seamless support service.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of support strategies and initiatives to enhance student outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a further education setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external agencies.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
  • Knowledge of EHCP and support arrangements, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
