Job Overview:
As a Principal Finance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the financial planning and analysis process, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Your expertise will guide budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring that strategic objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning:
- Collaborate on the financial planning process, including refining the financial models.
- Engage with budget holders to share financial trackers and conduct performance analysis against budgets.
- Oversee the management of development costs, maintain the intangible asset ledger, and ensure accurate journal postings.
Workforce Management:
- Update and maintain the workforce model, process payroll journal entries, and provide insightful analysis.
- Work closely with the recruitment team to align hiring needs with budgetary constraints.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts punctually.
- Assist in the compilation of the monthly Finance Board report and conduct cost analyses.
Year-End Financial Review:
- Supply necessary information for the year-end financial audit.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Manage strategic projects and respond to ad hoc financial requests.
Candidate Profile:
- Possess relevant accounting qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Have prior experience in financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Exhibit strong technical accounting skills and operational experience.
- Familiarity with SAP or Xero is advantageous but not mandatory.
