**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Learning Support Coordinator to join our team at MidKent College. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Learning Support Assistants to provide support for students with additional needs.
Main Responsibilities:
- **Team Leadership**: Lead a team of Learning Support Assistants to provide support for students with additional needs, including planning and timetabling class and one-to-one support.
- **Student Support**: Work closely with Learning Support Coordinators to identify support requirements and produce individual support plans for students.
- **CPD and Training**: Plan and deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Learning Support Assistants to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support students effectively.
- **Collaboration and Communication**: Liaise with other support partners, including Learning Mentors, Study Programme Coordinators, and Heads of Departments, to ensure effective support for students.
- **Administration and Reporting**: Complete day-to-day administration tasks, including recording progress against EHCP outcomes and targets, and preparing reports for senior management.
Requirements:
- **Leadership and Management**: Proven experience of leading a team and managing staff.
- **Communication and Interpersonal Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
- **Organizational and Time Management**: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- **Knowledge and Skills**: Knowledge of special educational needs and disability (SEND) legislation and policies, and experience of working with students with SEND.
