About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Lung Cancer Directorate at Wythenshawe Hospital as a member of the Cecilia Centre team. The post holder will work on the chemotherapy day case unit and support patients undergoing SACT treatment.

Main Responsibilities

The post holder will work alongside the Band 6 & 7 nurses, supporting them in the care and delivery of SACT treatment to patients on the unit. They will be given the opportunity to undertake the UKONS SACT passport training and further their communication skills.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have a registered nurse qualification, evidence of relevant post-qualification study at postgraduate level or equivalent knowledge, and experience of working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. They will also have analytical and judgemental skills, planning and problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
