About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and aspiring Specialist SEND Support Assistant to provide high-quality support to a child in Key Stage 2 with autism. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with SEND, particularly autism.


Job Overview: As a Specialist SEND Support Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting a child in Key Stage 2 with autism on a one-to-one basis. This will involve assessing and accommodating individual learning needs, reporting on progress, and encouraging social and emotional development.


Responsibilities:



  • Supporting a child in Key Stage 2 with autism on a one-to-one basis
  • Assessing and accommodating individual learning needs of the pupil
  • Reporting on individual pupils' progress
  • Encouraging the social and emotional development of the pupil

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a can-do attitude, a willingness to help in other areas of the classroom, and the ability to use initiative and work well under pressure. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with children and other staff members.
