Job Description

As a Primary SEND Support Specialist, you will work under the direction of the SENDCo, school leaders, and class teachers to implement effective provision strategies that meet the individual needs of pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils accessing learning in the classroom and leading personalized provision of individual pupils in line with their SEND support plans.
  • Facilitating individual and group work, developing strong working partnerships with colleagues, parents, and other agencies.
  • Being responsive to children's individual needs, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Additionally, you will contribute to driving our inclusion agenda, engaging and re-engaging children in school, and facilitating personalized provision for learners. Supporting and nurturing parental links is fundamental to this role, and you will work towards achieving expectations outlined in the SEND code of practice 2014.
